Drug Case: Police Clarify YouTuber Thoppi Won’t Be Listed as Accused

Kochi: Temporary relief for YouTuber Toppi. The police informed the court that he would not be named as an accused for now in the drug case involving the seizure of narcotics from a private apartment in Thammanam, Ernakulam. This statement was made during the hearing of Thoppi’s anticipatory bail plea in the Ernakulam Principal Sessions Court, leading to the disposal of his application.

The court directed Thoppi to cooperate with the investigation, and the police stated that he would be summoned for questioning in the coming days. Thoppi, whose real name is Nihad, had approached the court for anticipatory bail following the arrest of his driver in a narcotics case. On November 28, MDMA, a new-generation drug, was seized from Nihad’s residence in Thammanam.
