However, Tharoor has clarified that he will be unable to attend due to a prior engagement in Surat. He also extended his best wishes for the event.
Amid controversy surrounding a recent article by Tharoor in *The Indian Express, in which he praised Kerala’s startup sector, some speculate that the invitation has political motives. However, DYFI leadership clarified that the event was planned well in advance and that Tharoor was invited in his capacity as the MP of Thiruvananthapuram.
