Thiruvananthapuram: DYFI protest marches to Doordarshan centers. The march is in protest against the telecast of the movie The Kerala Story.
DYFI Thiruvananthapuram district committee led a protest march to Doordarshan headquarters. A protest was also organized in Kochi. But the protests ended after they failed to gain public attention. The Kerala Story is a film that exposes love jihad and recruitment of girls for terrorist activities by making them fall in love.
The movie tells the story of three girls from Kerala. The CPM state secretariat and Chief Minister Panarai Vijayan had come out against the showing of the movie on Doordarshan. Opposition leader VD Satheesan has also approached the Election Commission.
