The Enforcement Directorate (ED) is currently conducting raids at the homes of various SDPI leaders in Kerala. The raids are taking place in Ottapalam, Palakkad, and Kottayam. In Palakkad, the raid is ongoing at the residence of a Panamanna native in Ottapalam. The Delhi and Kozhikode ED units are jointly carrying out the operation, which began at 7 AM and is still underway, according to reports.
It is suspected that the raids are linked to the arrest of SDPI National President M.K. Faizy. In Kottayam, the raid is being conducted at the residence of Nishad Nadakkemuri at Michabhoomi Colony, SBT Junction, Chamanpathal, Vazhoor. The operation in Kottayam started around 9:30 AM.
Nishad was previously the divisional secretary of the now-banned PFI. The ED team from Delhi is leading the raid at his residence. Meanwhile, just two weeks ago, a nationwide ED raid was conducted.
