Ramanagara: Pro-Pakistan slogans and derogatory remarks against Kannadigas were found on the walls of a restroom in a well-known factory in Karnataka’s Ramanagara district. Two individuals have been arrested in connection with the incident. The accused, identified as Haimad Hussain (24) and Sadiq (20), are from North Karnataka and were working at the Toyota Boshoku factory on a contract basis.
The graffiti included slogans such as “Pakistan Ki Jai” and “Victory to Pakistan.” Following an uproar among employees, the factory management initially issued only a warning notice instead of taking strict action. However, after the incident went viral, authorities intervened, and the police arrested the suspects on charges of sedition.
The factory operates with over 2,000 workers in three shifts, with more than 600 employees per shift. The accused reportedly wrote the slogans during their March 16 shift. Initially, the company put up a notice prohibiting such actions, but after photos of the graffiti spread on social media, the Bidadi police launched an investigation and registered a case.
The revelation sparked protests from pro-Kannada organizations, who gathered near the factory, raising slogans against the management and demanding strict legal action against those responsible for insulting Kannadigas.
