Enforcement Directorate with follow-up action in Masappadi case. ECIR ED registered the case. Action is taken after preliminary examination. While the SFIO investigation is progressing in the case, the ED is also taking action.
ECIR is equivalent to registration of police FIR. The ED had also collected information about the inspections and findings made by the Income Tax. The complainant, Shaun George, had demanded an investigation by ED or CBI in the case. Shawn George filed an additional petition in the High Court demanding this. Meanwhile, the ED has taken action.
Shawn George responded that ED’s investigation is also necessary for the completion of proper investigation. Shawn said the robbery happened and had accurate records. He clarified that the SFIO investigation is progressing well.
