Elderly Woman Missing in Thiruvananthapuram Found Dead in Homestead, Body Partially Eaten by Dogs

The body of an elderly woman who went missing in Kilimanoor was found on the way to her backyard near her house. The fleshy parts of the dead bodies were found eaten by street dogs. K Bhavani (75) died at Parassery house, Thakaraparamp Parassery, Madavoor. All that was left was the skull and bones. The body was identified by the clothes it was wearing and the gold necklace around its neck. It is believed that she may have died after collapsing while collecting firewood.

She lives with her elder son and was not at home since Friday. The people at home did not search because they thought it would be at the house of their youngest son, who lives a kilometer away. On Wednesday, the youngest son found out about his disappearance when she reached his brother’s house in search of his mother. When she came to know that she was not at his relative’s house, she informed the Pallikal police in the evening. In the meantime, the housewives who lived nearby said that they were seen last Friday afternoon.

The remains of the dead body were found during an investigation conducted by a relative and a neighbor at 7 am on Thursday. Pallikal then informed the police. The family living near where the body was found had not been home during the day for a week. This also led to the delay in revealing the incident. Raju and Ashok Kumar are the children of deceased Bhavani. Daughter-in-law: Geetha and Leelamani.
