A tribal woman, Shanthya, was killed in a tiger attack in Pancharakolly, Mananthavady. She was the wife of a forest department watcher.
Shanthya, an estate worker, was attacked and killed early this morning. Forest department officials, along with other authorities, have rushed to the area. The attack occurred just 10 days after a tiger was captured in Pulpally. This is the first human fatality due to a wild animal attack in Wayanad this year.
