FEFKA to Appoint Seven-Member Committee to Curb Drug Use on Film Sets

Kochi: The Federation of Filmmakers’ Associations of Kerala (FEFKA) has announced that a seven-member committee will be appointed to prevent drug use at film locations. In Kochi, FEFKA General Secretary B. Unnikrishnan made the announcement that a vigilance committee will be appointed at film locations.

He said that the aim of forming such a committee is to prevent the spread of illegal drugs in the film industry and that drug use on locations cannot be allowed under any circumstances.

The director and production controller of the film must be members of the Jagratha Samiti formed on each film set. In addition, technical staff will also be included in the committee.

The FEFKA General Secretary made the announcement about the formation of the Vigilance Committee in the presence of the Kochi City Excise Commissioner. Prior to this, FEFKA office bearers had also held consultations with excise officials.
