Kottayam: Saji Manjakadambail, who resigned from the Joseph Group of the Kerala Congress, joined the NDA. The name of the new party is Kerala Congress Democratic. Saji also announced that he would support the NDA. Saji’s announcement was made by calling the Kottayam Convention.
Kottayam NDA candidate Tushar will announce support for Vellappally. Saji resigned from the party and the UDF in Manjakadam following a disagreement with Mons Joseph, leader of the Kerala Congress Joseph group.
He was the Kottayam District President of the Joseph Group. Saji Manjakadampil was also the District Chairman of UDF. Saji Manjakadam had said that the Kerala Congress Mani faction and the BJP leadership were in contact. It is reported that Saji will hold talks with BJP National President JP Nadda who is coming to Kottayam at Manjakadam.
