Government Sanctions Rs 2,35,967 for Former Principal Secretary M Sivashankar’s Medical Expenses

2,35,967 has been sanctioned as medical expenses to former Principal Secretary to Chief Minister M Sivashankar. The amount has been allocated for the treatment done while on bail. Shivashankar had applied for the money. The order was issued after considering this application.

M Sivashankar sought treatment at a private hospital in Thiruvananthapuram from August 13 to 17 last year. The order explained that the amount was sanctioned as per All India Service Rules.

Shivshankar had produced documents including the expenditure of Rs 2,35,967 for his treatment. He applied to the government while in service. Considering this, now the order has been sanctioned. Sivashankar, who was arrested in the Life Mission case, is currently on bail.
