Thiruvananthapuram: Central Meteorological Department has warned that there is a possibility of high temperature in more districts of the state today. Yellow alert has been declared in 10 districts. Temperatures will rise in Palakkad, Kollam, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Pathanamthitta, Thrissur, Kozhikode, Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam and Kannur districts.
From March 19 to 21 Palakkad district saw high temperature of 39°C, Kollam, Alappuzha and Pathanamthitta districts saw high temperature of 38°C, Kottayam and Thrissur districts saw high temperature of 37°C, Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam, Kannur and Kozhikode districts saw high temperature. According to the Central Meteorological Department, it is likely to rise up to 36°C.Due to high temperature and humid air, these districts are prone to hot and humid weather except in hilly areas.
