The Central Meteorological Department has issued a warning that rain will continue in the state in the coming days. Low pressure area has formed in North Bay of Bengal over Bangladesh and West Bengal coast.

A cyclonic circulation is also present in the Southeast Arabian Sea. As a result of this, there is a possibility of widespread light to moderate rainfall for the next six days. Heavy rain is also likely in isolated areas from October 5 to 9. Rain warning has been issued in four districts today and five districts tomorrow. Yellow alert today in Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad and Kannur districts.

Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Kannur and Kasaragod districts are likely to experience light rain with thunder and lightning and wind speed below 40 kmph this morning. The Meteorological Department said that there is a chance of light rain at isolated places in all the other districts.
