The Kerala High Court has stayed proceedings against actor Edavela Babu after serious allegations surfaced against several actors following the release of the Hema Committee report.
The stay pertains to the case filed by the Nadakkavu Police in Kozhikode based on a junior artist’s complaint against Babu. The actor had approached the High Court seeking to quash the case.
The junior artist had accused Idavela Babu of pressuring her to comply with his personal interests in exchange for opportunities in films and membership in the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA).
