Induja (25), a newlywed women from Palode, Ilavattom, was found dead at her husband’s house, sparking suspicions raised by her father regarding the circumstances of her death. The police have taken her husband, Abhijith, into custody based on the complaint filed by Induja’s family. The couple had been married for only three months.
Induja’s family earlier expressed doubts about her death, claiming that she had been facing constant mental harassment and threats at her husband’s home. Despite this, they allege they were not allowed to visit her. Induja was found hanging in the bathroom of the second floor of her husband’s house in Palode – Idinjaar – Kollachal – Konnamoodu area. Her body was discovered by Abhijith when he returned home for lunch and immediately rushed her to Nedumangadu District Hospital, where she was declared dead.
The couple had been in a relationship for two years, and three months ago, Abhijith had taken Induja from her home, married her in a temple, and began living together. Induja worked at a private lab, while Abhijith was employed at a private vehicle company. The Palode police have filed a case and launched an investigation into the matter.
