Kerala MPs staged a protest in the Parliament premises against the delay in implementing the Mundakkai disaster relief package for Wayanad. Holding a banner that read “Justice for Wayanad,” the MPs demanded immediate action from the central government.
Prominent leaders, including Priyanka Gandhi, K. Radhakrishnan, and Santosh Kumar, participated in the protest. Speaking to the media, MP K. Radhakrishnan stated, “The central government’s demand for funds for the rescue operations in Mundakkai is an insult to Malayalis. This is an attempt to justify injustice towards Kerala and isolate the state.”
The protest highlights growing discontent over perceived negligence and unfair treatment towards Kerala in disaster management efforts.
