Former India explosive opener Krishnamachari Srikkanth says that in his career he never cared about technology. He said that both he and Sunil Gavaskar were different batsmen. Srikanth said that Gavaskar was the North Pole, then he was the South Pole.

Srikanth said in a show on Star Sports-1 Tamil, “A partnership in batting is very important and I had a close association with Sunil Gavaskar, although the two of us were very different in terms of technique.” In his partnership with Gavaskar, Srikanth said, ‘I made my debut in 1981. No one had seen a game similar to mine in the early 80s. When people saw me playing, everyone asked who is this batsman who plays the shot by going in the opposite direction of the ball and picking it up in the air, but I never cared about technique.

Former Indian captain Srikanth said, “Gavaskar was perfect on the other side in terms of technique and he used to play the ball based on his ability. He did not play unnecessary shots. It is generally said that opposite poles attract each other. If Gavaskar was the North Pole then I was the South Pole. ‘
