K. Sudhakaran takes over as KPCC president

K Sudhakaran returned to the post of KPCC president. The charge was taken at Indira Bhavan, the headquarters of KPCC. Sudhakaran took charge after visiting senior Congress leader AK Antony at his home. K Sudhakaran temporarily stepped down from the post of chairman after he had to contest as a UDF candidate in the Lok Sabha elections.

Sudhakaran stepped down from the post of KPCC president for the time being after he had to become a candidate in Kannur in the Lok Sabha elections. MM Hasan, who took charge as the interim president, did not resign even after the election, which led to controversies. Sudhakaran is returning after the high command’s intervention.

K Sudhakaran criticized MM Hasan after assuming charge. Sudhakaran said that MM Hasan’s presence was necessary at the time of assuming charge. Sudhakaran responded to the media by saying that he has gone out and asked where he is. Also, Sudhakaran made public his displeasure with the actions taken by MM Hasan when he was acting president.

Sudhakaran criticized Haasan’s action of taking back the leaders who faced disciplinary action without consultation. He clarified that Hassan’s decision to return the post will be discussed within the party.
