Kannur: KCYM rejected the proposal of Thalassery Archdiocese and screened the movie ‘Kerala Story’. The exhibition was held at Chempanthotti Church in Kannur. This is after the Diocese clarified that permission was not given to screen the film.
Thalassery Archdiocese has clarified that the film will not be screened. But KCYM screened the film over and above that. Many KCYM workers also came to watch the movie.
Earlier, the Diocese of Thalassery had clarified that ‘Kerala Story’ would not be shown in churches. The Diocese does not intend to cause division between religious groups. Can’t stand with the politics of the filmmakers. “There is no controversy during the elections,” was the position of the Diocese of Thalassery.
