Kerala Police has formed a special team to monitor social media for Lok Sabha elections

State Police Chief Dr. A. Subrahmanyeswara Rao has directed social media monitoring teams at the State level, various ranges and districts to monitor various social media platforms in the run-up to the Lok Sabha elections. It was designed by Sheikh Darwesh Sahib.

Information about social media interactions that violate election norms can be reported through WhatsApp. This was informed through a post shared by the Kerala Police on Facebook. WhatsApp numbers of social media monitoring teams at cyber police headquarters, range offices and districts are also provided.
