During the recent Lok Sabha elections, Puthupally was also a political pilgrimage center for Congress candidates. Each of them returned remembering Oommenchandy’s departure. The Georgian pilgrimage center of Puthupally Church also grew with it. Pudupally has even taken place in the pilgrimage packages.
