Puthupalli’s heart connection with Oommen Chandy does not end even after a year has passed. Even after a year, there is an unceasing flow of people to the tomb of the Puthupally church. This tomb has become a place of eternal peace even though it has entered into political controversies from time to time. People who came every Sunday for help are still coming. Chandy Oommen, MLA and Oommen Chandy’s son, meet after many leave a petition at the grave. It is said that some relationships never end. That is what this tomb in Puthupally reminds us of. During the recent Lok Sabha elections, Puthupally was also a political pilgrimage center for Congress candidates. Each of them returned remembering Oommenchandy’s departure. The Georgian pilgrimage center of Puthupally Church also grew with it. Pudupally has even taken place in the pilgrimage packages.
