Haryana government has announced 10 percent reservation for Agniveers in various government jobs

Chandigarh: Haryana government has announced 10 percent reservation for Agniveers in various government jobs. Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said that reservation will be given to Agniveers for government jobs like police constable, forest department, guard in mines, jail warden and SPO. He added that an interest-free loan of up to five lakh rupees will also be provided.

The central government implemented the Agnipath scheme on June 14, 2022. Agniveers will be in the Indian Army for four years. “In Haryana, our government will give 10 percent reservation to firemen in government jobs. Police Constable, Mine Guard, Forest Guard, Jail Warden, S.P.O. Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said that Agniveers will be appointed through direct recruitment to the posts.

Agniveers will be relaxed by three years in the age limit for Group B and C government jobs. Also, the Chief Minister said that five per cent reservation will be given in direct recruitment to civil posts in Group C category and one per cent reservation in Group B category. He added that the government would provide a subsidy of Rs 60,000 per annum to industries employing Agniveers with a salary of more than Rs 30,000 per month.
