KM Abraham Seeks Probe Into Alleged Conspiracy Behind CBI Investigation Order

Thiruvananthapuram: KM Abraham, Chief Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister and CEO of KIIFB, has written to Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan demanding an investigation into the alleged conspiracy behind the CBI probe order issued against him.

In the letter, Abraham stated that the conspiracy should be investigated by a team led by an IPS officer. He added that it is up to the Chief Minister to decide whether he should continue in his position. The moves against him are aimed at tarnishing the image of the Chief Minister’s Office, he alleged.

Abraham claimed that the conspiracy was orchestrated by Jomon Puthenpurackal, along with two others who held top positions in public sector undertakings. He said he had exposed their corrupt practices while serving as Finance Secretary. Abraham also stated that he possesses audio recordings of phone conversations between the three individuals involved in the conspiracy. According to him, the conspiracy has been ongoing since 2015.

Abraham wrote the letter to the Chief Minister after the High Court ordered a CBI investigation into a case related to the alleged accumulation of illegal assets.
