Lok Sabha election: Mukesh and Ashwini submitted their nominations on the first day

Thiruvananthapuram: Submission of nomination papers for the Lok Sabha elections has started in the state. Kollam constituency LDF candidate M Mukesh and Kasargod constituency NDA candidate ML Ashwini submitted their nomination papers before the district collectors. The candidates submitted their papers in demonstration to the District Collectorates. Many activists accompanied the candidates.

Mukesh District Collector Devidas submitted the paper before the NIS after reaching the District Collectorate from the CITU Kollam District Committee Office. Finance Minister KN Balagopal, CPM and CPI district secretaries, former minister K Raju, PS Supal MLA and others were with Mukesh. Many workers accompanied the candidate.

NDA candidate ML Ashwini submitted his papers before District Collector Inbasekhar K IAS after reaching the Kasaragod District Collectorate. ML Ashwini was accompanied by leaders including BJP national councilors Sanjiv Shetty, Pramila C Naik and Kasaragod district president Ravisha Tantri Kundar. Along with Ashwini, BJP district general secretary K Velayudhan also submitted the papers.

Kerala will vote on the second phase of the Lok Sabha elections on April 26. Candidates can submit nomination papers from today till April 4. Paper submission time is from 11 am to 3 pm. Scrutiny will be held on April 5. The last date for withdrawal of nomination papers is April 8. Counting of votes is on June 4.
