Thiruvananthapuram: Former CPI(M) leaders Madhu Mulla Sheri and his son Mithun Mulla Sheri joined the BJP today. The membership was handed over by state president K. Surendran during a ceremony in Thiruvananthapuram. Surendran assured that the BJP will protect those who join the party.
In reference to a complaint from two and a half years ago, a domestic abuse case has been filed against BIPIN C. Babu.
Surendran also mentioned that if there are allegations of domestic abuse, two ministers should be the first to be questioned. He pointed out that one minister had been photographed physically assaulting his wife, while another minister had been involved in a discussion about his wife’s assault. He further stated that the issue of child abuse in the Shishu Kshema Committee had been kept under wraps for a week.
After the PFI ban, the CPI(M) is recruiting former PFI members into the party, according to Surendran. He claimed that the CPI(M) is on the verge of collapse in Kerala and that major changes are expected under Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. Surendran predicted that several CPI(M) leaders from various jails will join the BJP.
Madhu Mulla Sheri added that he will reveal many facts about the cooperative sector in the Mangalapuram area. He also claimed to have information about the financial sources of District Secretary Joyi and promised to disclose everything soon.
