Maghi Purnima celebrations have begun in the Kumbh Mela city. Lakhs of pilgrims took holy dip at Triveni Sangam on the occasion of Magha Purnima. Today is Maghi Purnima. Extensive celebrations are being organized at the Kumbh Mela on this day.
The bathing ceremony associated with Magi Purnima began at midnight. Tens of thousands of people took a bath in the river at the same time. Within hours, lakhs of people had taken a dip in the Triveni. This is the fourth devotee bath held during the Kumbh Mela.
There was a situation where people were in danger due to a stampede during the bathing on the day of Mauni Amavasya. To avoid this, strict security arrangements were made this time. Senior officials including those reached the spot and monitored the situation.
