India Deploys Signal Jammers Along Pakistan Border Amid Rising Tensions

New Delhi – In a significant strategic move, India has installed advanced signal jammers along its western border with Pakistan. The primary objective of this deployment is to disrupt the navigation systems of Pakistani military aircraft, particularly satellite-based platforms such as Beidou, GLONASS, and GPS.

The deployment follows India’s recent decision to ban Pakistani aircraft—including military and commercial planes registered, operated, or leased in Pakistan—from entering Indian airspace between April 30 and May 23.

Indian defense sources indicate that this action is part of a broader national policy aimed at putting Pakistan under multidimensional pressure, moving beyond conventional military responses. The installation of jammers is expected to challenge the operational capabilities of Pakistani military aircraft in the region.

This escalation comes in the wake of a deadly terrorist attack in Pahalgam, which claimed 26 lives. In response, India has ramped up diplomatic and strategic measures. These include:

A temporary suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty with Pakistan.Cancellation of all visas issued to Pakistani nationals. A directive for all Pakistani citizens currently in India to leave the country at the earliest. India’s assertive actions are viewed as a message to Pakistan that provocations will be met with a strong and multifaceted response, both militarily and diplomatically.
