Rauf Sharif admitted that he had transferred two and a quarter lakh rupees to Popular Front leader Muhammad Danish to buy a car for Hathras Yatra. Danish’s cousin and PFI worker Alam was the driver.
Rauf Sharif testified that hit squad members Badruddin and Firoz were sent in another vehicle with explosives after the captain’s car. Rauf also admitted that the money owed to them was sent to Kamal KP’s account.
KUWJ’s attempt to save Capan alone in the Hathras case is failing. Apart from the statements of the co-accused, Kapan’s phone records have become crucial evidence. The SIMI and PFI documents seized from the captain’s room also became irrefutable evidence. The family members of Rauf, Badruddin and Feroze had complained to the PFI leadership that Kapil Sibal was appointed in the Supreme Court only for Kapan in the case.
There is also a complaint that while the Solidarity Committee, which included media workers for Siddique Kapan, collected crores including from Gulf and gave it to the family, the family of the co-accused only got the fake monthly payment of PFI.
