Malayalam Sahitya Samiti Announces Recipients of Inaugural Cultural Awards

The Malayalam Sahitya Samiti has selected former DGP and writer R.Sreelekha IPS and actor M.R. Gopakumar as the first recipients of its cultural awards. The Shravya-Madhyam Award has been awarded to Sreekumar Mukathala, Assistant Station Director of Akashavani Thiruvananthapuram and a celebrated radio presenter and writer.

Sreelekha’s novel Balipatham has earned her the Sahitya Sreshta Award. The Ganapratibha Award goes to Karyavattom Sreekantan Nair, while Geetha Rajendran, chairperson of Kalanidhi, receives recognition for her significant contributions to art, culture, and philanthropy.

H. Honey (Bureau Chief) is awarded for exceptional regional news programs.
Sujilal K.S. (Reporter, Kerala Kaumudi) receives recognition for social responsibility in reporting for the series Krayunna Karamanaar.
Manjuladevi (Deepika) wins the cultural news reporting award.
Jayalakshmi (Mathrubhumi News) is honored with the visual media excellence award.

Other winners include:
Shraddha Parvathy for music composition and singing.
Praveen Enikkara for cinematography.
The awards ceremony will also honor Samiti members who have excelled in arts, culture, social service, and education.
