Kochi: A 40-year-old man met a tragic end in Kolancheri. Suresh Thangavelu, a native of Vadayambadi, died. The locals ignored Suresh, who collapsed on the road, thinking he was a drunkard. The death occurred after the delay in reaching the hospital.
The incident happened around 3 pm on Monday. Suresh collapsed near the wall in front of St. Peter’s School in Kolanchery town.
At the same time, a young man collapsed and died in Perumbavoor when he came to the church for a band mela. The deceased is Jijo, a native of Natukani, Kothamangalam. The incident happened last night. Jijo collapsed during a band performance at Panieli Church. He was immediately taken to a private hospital in Perumbavoor but died.
