Thiruvananthapuram: Mayor Arya Rajendran said that the Thiruvananthapuram Municipal Council will provide a house to the mother of Joy who lost her life after falling into the turtle drain during the cleaning work. Although Joy’s house is outside the city council limits, the house will be given to Joy’s mother by taking special permission from the state government.
On the coming day, the Municipal Council will formally approve the decision and inform the government. The Mayor stated that MLA CK Harindran and the Panchayat will provide all the help to find a place for the house. Earlier, the state government had announced that the financial assistance of Rs.10 lakh would be handed over to Joy’s family.
