Actor Mohanlal remembers actress Kanakalatha. Lal recalled that they were able to act together in many films, including Karyatam. Kanakalatha played the role of the sister of Mohanlal’s character in Kiryatan. The actress was also Lal’s sister in the movie Varnapakit. Kanakalatha has also acted with Mohanlal in films like Sphatikam, Raja’s Son, Mithunam, Chengkol, Oru Yatramozhi, Thacholi Varghese Chekavar and Appu.

Kanakalatha died on Monday after being treated for Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s. Kanakalatha, who came to the films from drama, has played many small and big roles in Malayalam cinema in the 90s.
She has acted in more than 350 films in Malayalam and Tamil including Chillu, Kariilakatupole, Ente Suryaputhriku, Amma Yaane Satyam, Aniyathi Prav, Harikrishnans, Mattupetti Machan, Priyam etc
