Thrissur: A young woman and her one-and-a-half-year-old daughter were found dead after going to her husband’s house. Their dead bodies were found from the river in the Kakkamad area in Palazhi. Krishnapriya (24) and her daughter Poojita (one-and-a-half) were found dead in their house at Kunnathuli, a native of Anakkad, Manalur.
Krishnapriya, an employee of a medical shop in Kanjani, left for her husband’s house at around 2 pm yesterday with her baby. The woman’s husband, Akhil, a resident of Kallidavahi, Anthikad, lodged a complaint with the police when they went missing even after nightfall.
The bodies of the mother and child were found by those who went for a walk this morning. They was lying in the river. The bag found nearby contained Krishnapriya’s ID card. Police reached the spot under the leadership of Anthikkad SI Praveen and took further action. The body was brought to the shore with the help of the fire force.
