Kochi: Bobby Chemmanur was released from jail today after actress Honey Rose filed a complaint alleging sexual harassment. Bobby Chemmanur responded by saying that he did not come out yesterday to help the prisoners and that his action was not contempt of court.
There are people who are unable to get out of jail even after getting bail because they don’t have money. So a few people came to him. He assured them that they would solve their problems. Bobby Chemmannur responded that that was why he spent another day in jail. Bobby Chemmannur rushed out of jail after the High Court directed Bobby Chemmannur’s lawyers to appear at 10.15.
The petition is being considered by a bench of Justice PV Kunhikrishnan on its own motion. The defense lawyers were asked to appear in court. The dramatic events that took place after the bail was granted yesterday had taken place. The court’s unusual action was taken in view of this.
