Muslim countries are reportedly gathering information related to the Mahakumbha Mela. According to Google Trends, Pakistanis searched the most for things related to the Mahakumbha Mela on social media. Followed by Qatar, UAE, and Bahrain. Countries like Nepal, Singapore, Australia, Canada, Thailand, and Ireland are also showing great interest in this regard.
Meanwhile, the police have tightened security in Prayagraj during the Mahakumbh Mela. Lakhs of pilgrims are flocking to Prayagraj to take a dip in the Triveni Sangam. The UP police is intensifying surveillance using advanced technology to ensure the safety of pilgrims. More police personnel and drones have been deployed in all busy areas.
Drones will be used for 24-hour surveillance. Anti-drones have also been deployed. Aerial surveillance and special crowd control systems have been installed throughout the fair grounds. Equipped with state-of-the-art thermal and IR cameras, the drones will provide live footage in HD quality. The Security Department and the Traffic Directorate have deployed four tethered drones each. Three of these are controlled by the Anti-Terrorism Squad. Drone surveillance is also strong in crowded places like railway stations and bus stands.
