Naveen Babu’s Family Appeals to High Court to Cancel P.P. Divya’s Bail

Naveen Babu’s family has approached the High Court, seeking to cancel the bail granted to former District Panchayat President P.P. Divya, stating that the current SIT investigation is ineffective and urging an inquiry into possible conspiracy aspects. Naveen’s wife, Manjusha, expressed no further comments on Divya’s release yesterday.

Meanwhile, Manjusha has also submitted a request to be relieved from her responsibilities as a Tahsildar, stating she is not in a mental state to handle the role’s responsibilities. She has asked for a transfer to a senior superintendent post at the collectorate. Manjusha, who currently serves as Tahsildar in Konni, has been on leave following the death of her husband, ADM K. Naveen Babu, and submitted the request ahead of her scheduled return next month.

After 11 days in custody, Divya was granted bail by District Sessions Judge K.T. Nisar Ahmad and released from Pallikkunnu Women’s Jail yesterday. Leaders from the Democratic Women’s Association and CPM district leaders gathered to receive her upon her release.
