From tomorrow until the 14th, the traditional forest route via Karimala will be closed to pilgrims, as it coincides with the Makara Vilakku day. Only the pilgrims from Ambalappuzha and Alangad who pass through Erumeli Pettathullal will be allowed to use the forest path to reach Pamba. Other pilgrims will be redirected from Mukkuzhi. Only the Nilakkal route will be permitted for pilgrims to travel to Pamba during this period.
The spot booking counters that were previously located in Pamba have been completely shifted to Nilakkal. Since yesterday, the number of spot bookings has been reduced to 5000. On the Makara Vilakku day, January 14, only 1000 people will be allowed for darshan through spot booking.
From 8 AM on the 12th to 2 PM on the 15th, parking will not be allowed at Pamba Hilltop. Pilgrim vehicles will be directed to park at Chalakkayam. A barricade has been set up at Valiyaanavattam due to the large number of people walking after the Thiruvabharanam procession.
