No Lapses by Police or Other Departments in Thrissur Pooram; Initial Three-Level Investigation Report

Thrissur: The initial report from the three-level investigation into the conduct of Thrissur Pooram has found no lapses by the police or other departments. The report was submitted by ADGP Manoj Abraham.

The key finding of the report is that apart from the police, no other departments were found to be at fault. It also states that no evidence was found to suggest that any department acted in a way that disrupted the festival. However, the report includes recommendations and suggestions to improve the organization of future Pooram festivals.

One of the main recommendations is that the health department should play a more active role during the festival days. It suggests deploying more ambulances and conducting coordination meetings among departments ahead of the festival.

The three-level investigation into the disturbances during Pooram is ongoing, led by the DGP, the Crime Branch chief, and the ADGP.
