The police have confirmed that there is no prior association between actor Sreenath Bhasi, actress Prayaga Martin, and notorious crime boss Om Prakash. However, suspicions remain regarding financial transactions between Bhasi and Binu Joseph, a key figure in the drug trade. The police are investigating whether any drug-related dealings occurred between Bhasi and Joseph, though both parties’ statements align so far.
Details of Bhasi and Martin’s testimonies have surfaced. Both were reported to have arrived at a luxury hotel around 4 a.m. and left around 7 a.m. Their questioning was conducted with the aid of CCTV footage. Prayaga Martin stated that they had gone to the hotel after attending a DJ party at a Kakkanad hotel, accompanied by Bhasi and his friends from his flat. She clarified that she did not know who else was present in the hotel room, as she had entered only to rest briefly.
Prayaga also asserted that she had no prior interaction with Om Prakash and did not see him at the hotel. She returned to Kozhikode later that morning. According to her, she only learned about Om Prakash through online reports after the incident became public. The police have taken her testimony as credible.
Both Bhasi’s and Prayaga’s phone records will be thoroughly examined, and their statements will be cross-referenced with those of other individuals mentioned in the remand report. The police will call them for further questioning only if inconsistencies are found.
