Nursing Student Ammu’s Death: Principal Transferred and Three Students Suspended

On November 15, Ammu Sajeev, a final-year nursing student at Chuttippara SME College, tragically died after falling from the top of the hostel building. Following this incident, the nursing college principal was transferred, and three students involved in the case were suspended.

The principal has been moved to Seethathode College under CEEPASS, and in her place, Tushar, the former principal of Seethathode College, has been appointed to Chuttippara College. The three students, who are currently out on bail, were suspended from the college as part of the disciplinary action.

Meanwhile, Ammu Sajeev’s family has filed a complaint with the police against a faculty member in connection with her death. The complaint was made by Ammu’s father, Sajeev, against Sajee, a psychiatry faculty member at the Chuttippara Nursing College. Sajeev alleges that Ammu was mentally tortured by the teacher and the students involved in the case, who claimed the logbook was missing.

According to Sajeev, the students and Ammu were isolated for a “counseling” session, which turned into an interrogation. The teacher, Sajee, allegedly interrogated Ammu for more than two hours, and it was after this that Ammu fell from the hostel building, leading to her death.
