Kozhikode: One person died after a sleeper bus overturned in Kadalundi. 18 people were injured. Mohandas’ son Amal (28) died. The accident took place near the old bank of Kadalundi Mannur at around 2.30 am today. The accident was caused by a bus operating as Kohinoor from Thiruvananthapuram to Udupi.
Two of the injured are in critical condition. They were shifted to Kozhikode Medical College Hospital. There were 27 passengers and 3 crew members in the bus. The rescue operation was carried out by the police and the fire brigade.
