The Governor of West Bengal Dr C.V Ananda Bose arrived and condoled and shared the family’s grief. Three nurses, including two Malayalis, died in a car accident in Niswa, Oman, Majida Rajesh, a native of Thrissur, and Sharja Ilyas, a native of Kollam. Two nurses were injured. The third person who died was an Egyptian woman.
A group of five people were hit by a speeding vehicle while crossing the road. The group of nurses were on their way to work. The accident took place on the Muscat Ibri highway around 3 pm on Thursday.
The accident happened to the nurses who were walking from Nis Hospital to their residence after work. They were waiting to cross one part of the road and were waiting to cross to the other side when two vehicles collided with each other and crashed into them. He was rushed to a nearby hospital but died.
