Kannur: District Collector Arun K. Vijayan reiterated that former District Panchayat President P.P. Divya was not invited to the farewell ceremony of ADM Naveen Babu. The Collector also informed the media that he had provided this statement to the investigation team.
He further mentioned that he had submitted his call records and other relevant information to the investigators. While Divya did call before the farewell event, he clarified that there was no communication with her after the ceremony.
The Collector also dismissed the family’s allegation that Naveen Babu was not granted leave. He emphasized that there were no issues related to leave and that he had a close relationship with Naveen Babu. He added that any queries about leave could be clarified with a thorough review. Regarding transfer, the Collector stated that Naveen had not applied for one and that such decisions are made by the government.
