The woman involved in the Pantheerankavu domestic abuse case has lodged a new complaint against her husband, Rahul, alleging assault. She informed the police that Rahul physically attacked her, leading to the filing of the complaint at the Pantheerankavu police station. Rahul is currently in police custody.
Initially, the woman had told the police she did not wish to file a complaint. While receiving treatment at the Medical College Hospital, she stated that she had no complaints. However, her father later came forward, asserting that the family intended to pursue legal action. The woman was admitted to the hospital last night with injuries to her face and eyes.
The woman has expressed her desire to return to her native place in Ernakulam. Previously, the Kerala High Court had dismissed the domestic abuse case following a petition by Rahul Gopal seeking its withdrawal. The case gained significant attention as the complaint was filed just days after the marriage.
The woman, originally from North Paravur, had initially accused her husband, Rahul Gopal, of domestic violence. However, she later retracted her statement, saying she no longer wished to pursue the case. The domestic violence allegations had sparked widespread discussion when first reported.
