Driver and cleaner arrested in timber truck accident at Thrissur Nattika. Cleaner Alex (33), a resident of Alangode, Kannur, and driver Jose (54) have been arrested. It was found that Alex, the cleaner, who was driving the vehicle under the influence of alcohol, did not have a valid license.
The truck did not stop after causing the accident. However, locals chased it down and stopped it on the national highway. They also detained the truck and informed the police. The deceased are reportedly residents of Govindapuram Chemmannam Thodu, according to information received by the police.
