Thiruvananthapuram: The patient was stuck inside the damaged lift in the medical college for one and a half days. Ravindran Nair (69), who came to the Ortho OP of the medical college, fell in the lift. The patient who boarded the lift at 11 am on Saturday was found at 6 am today. Today, when the lift operator was fixing a technical problem, he noticed a man lying inside.
Ravindran’s mobile phone fell on the ground and was broken. Ravindran says that when the lift left suddenly with a loud noise and shaking, the phone fell on the ground and broke. The family had lodged a complaint with the Medical College Police saying that Veendran Nair was missing.
The family alleges that there was no written warning that the lift was malfunctioning. But the medical college superintendent responded that it is not a regularly used lift.
