Kochi: The cyber attack on actress Honey Rose intensified after she posted a warning against a person who had insulted womanhood. The actress filed a complaint with the police after obscene comments were posted under her social media post. Following her complaint, a case was registered against thirty people, and a resident of Kumbalam, Ernakulam, was arrested yesterday for posting obscene comments. The police have stated that more arrests will be made in connection with this case.

The investigation is focused on tower locations, and Kochi police are intensifying their efforts with the help of cyber police. The police are determined to track down the accused using location data, even if they use fake IDs. The police also stated that they will take action on any new offensive comments posted under the actress’s post. Meanwhile, the actress has received support from the All Kerala Women’s Association.

“I, Honey Rose, declare war on behalf of all women who are subjected to the same situation, against the uncivilized, obscene language used by so-called scholars,” the actress wrote on Facebook. After Honey Rose filed a complaint at Kochi Central Police station, a case was registered against 30 people, including their names and IDs, for making obscene comments. The case was filed under sections of the BNS Act and the IT Act, which carry non-bailable charges. The cyber cell quickly located the suspect, and Shaji, a resident of Kumbalam, was arrested. Following this, the actress shared her stance on Facebook, stating that she has never appeared in public in any attire that violates the country’s legal system. She added that while everyone is free to express their opinions, she is not responsible for creating legal codes based on others’ thoughts. She also emphasized that while she can be criticized, any criticism that crosses the line will not go unchallenged.
