Police to Close Investigation in Neyyattinkara Gopan’s Memorial Case

The police have said that they are closing the case related to the death of Neyyattinkara Gopan. The police have concluded that there was no abnormality in the death. The postmortem report also found that it was a natural death.

There is nothing unusual in the results currently available. The police will close the case once the scientific test results are received. The investigation team expects to receive the scientific test results soon. The report will be submitted to the court once the case is closed.

Gopan, a native of Neyyattinkara, died in January. The incident came to light when his children came forward claiming that their father had passed away. After Gopan, who was bedridden due to illness, died, they covered him with a slab next to the temple they had built near their house.

Following this, a board was erected stating that the father had passed away. When locals complained, the police removed the slab, took out Gopan’s body and sent it for postmortem.
