Thiruvananthapuram: One person has been taken into custody in the Pothencode Thankamani murder case in Thiruvananthapuram. The suspect, identified as Toufiq, a native of Pothencode, who was seen suspiciously in CCTV footage, is in custody. He is being questioned in detail. The police said that there are POCSO cases against him.
A differently-abled woman who lived alone in Pothencode was found dead this morning. Thankamani (65), a native of Koythurkonam, was found dead in a plot of land adjacent to her house in Manikantha Bhavan. Her face had bruises. Her blouse was torn and the lungi she was wearing was covered in the body.
