New Delhi: Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake to visit India. Sri Lankan government spokesperson Nalinda Jayadissa announced that the Sri Lankan President is visiting New Delhi at the special invitation of the Modi government.
He is on a three-day visit. He is expected to arrive in India on December 15. During his visit, he will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Droupadi Murmu. Sri Lankan Foreign Minister Vijitha Herath and Minister of State for Finance Anil Jayantha Fernando will also accompany Dissanayake to India. This is Dissanayake’s first visit to India after assuming office as the Sri Lankan President.
After Anura Dissanayake took office, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar met Anura Dissanayake in Sri Lanka and invited him to India. This was followed by the Sri Lankan President’s visit to India.
